Governance

We are very pleased to welcome you to the local governors’ page of Axminster Primary Academy's website.

Whilst the school operates under the umbrella of First Federation Trust and its Board of Directors, we retain our own Academy Committee and through this we work hard to preserve the individual character of our school.

Within the framework of our Terms of Reference and the Trust Board Scheme of Delegation, governors work as a team with children, parents, staff and the community to ensure the best outcomes for pupils. We are constantly striving to improve our own skills to strengthen the leadership of the school in order to fulfil these aims and obligations.

The Academy Committee is delighted with the way the children and staff have started the new school year with such vigour and determination. We are pleased with the way experienced staff have taken up new or changed responsibilities and new staff have arrived with energy and fresh ideas. 

We look forward to a successful year.
