School Day/Routine

The school day runs from 9.00am until 3.30pm each day.  This amounts to 6hrs 30 mins each day and 32.5 hours each week.

This is a typical day at Axminster Community Primary Academy.

The school gates are opened at 8.50am and children go straight to their classrooms for the start of the school day at 9.00am.

9.00am - 9.05am Registration
10.15am - 10.30am KS1 break
10.30am - 10.45am KS2 break
12.00pm - 1.00pm KS1 lunch
12.30pm - 1.30pm KS2 lunch
3.30pm End of school day

KS1 will have an additional breaktime at around 2.00pm, though the exact time is at the teacher's discretion.

At 3.30pm the school gates will be open for the end of the day.  Children will be released by their class teachers.  There will be staff on the main school gate and on the playground at the beginning and end of the day to ensure the safety of the children.
